Partner Gerald Swann Joins Alabama State Court Roster of Civil Mediators

Gerald Swann, a partner in our Montgomery office, has completed the required twenty hours of mediation training and is now certified by the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution to conduct civil mediations.

Under Rule 4 of the Alabama Civil Court Mediation Rules, a mediator appointed or designated by a court must be registered with the Alabama Center For Dispute Resolution unless the court for good cause finds otherwise. To be qualified for registration, an attorney in good standing must complete a 20-hour approved mediator training course. Gerald Swann, a partner in our Montgomery office, has completed that course and the other steps necessary for registration and is now listed on the state court civil mediator roster maintained by the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution.

Gerald has over 36 years of litigation experience and has taken numerous cases to verdict and/or an arbitration decision. He has handled cases in 60 of Alabama’s 67 counties.

While Gerald maintains his active practice, he looks forward to putting those skills and experience to work as a mediator helping others resolve their cases with a negotiated compromise resolution.
