Megan McCarthy joins the firm as a partner in its Montgomery office.
She primarily handles litigation in the areas of auto accident defense, insurance defense, insurance bad faith, construction law, and personal injury defense. Megan also handles insurance coverage issues that arise before and after a lawsuit is filed.
Megan McCarthy is an experienced litigator. Over the last 16 years, she has taken over 1,500 depositions and tried over 45 jury trials and 120 bench trials to verdict in a number of different types of venues across the State of Alabama. Many of these verdicts resulted in defense verdicts or verdicts significantly below the amount offered prior to trial. Megan’s clients value her experience and ability to try cases to verdict when a resolution cannot be reached prior to trial. Because of her strong presence in the courtroom, Megan was selected as a “Rising Star” in both Alabama and the Mid-South.

Hope Beaton joins the firm as an associate in its Mobile office.
She primarily practices in the areas of civil defense litigation and general insurance litigation. Hope is admitted to practice in all Alabama state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama.
Hope is a member of the Mobile Bar Association and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. Additionally, she serves on the planning committee for the annual Alabama Tort Law Update held by Alabama CLE.
