Sydney Brasfield and Cowin Knowles Obtain Summary Judgment for Municipality in Macon County

Attorneys Sydney Brasfield and Cowin Knowles recently obtained a summary judgment in the Circuit Court of Macon County on behalf of the municipality they represented in a motor vehicle action.

The case involved a motor vehicle accident that happened within the municipality’s limits. The plaintiff claimed the municipality was responsible for maintaining the area where the crash occurred. After reviewing the facts and arguments, the Circuit Court of Macon County agreed with the defense, finding that the municipality had no legal duty to maintain that area.
