Ball Ball is pleased to announce that Montgomery Partner Megan McCarthy has been selected for membership in the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, which is a peer-reviewed organization of leaders of the civil defense, corporate legal, and insurance industries.
The Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC), composed of recognized leaders in the legal community who have achieved professional distinction, is dedicated to promoting knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism of its members as they pursue the course of a balanced justice system and represent those in need of a defense in civil lawsuits. Since 1936, the FDCC has continued building on its strong foundation of leadership and service to the legal profession and to the related industries served by our members.
As noted in her bio at the request of the Alabama District Court Judges Association, Megan authored District Court Trial and Evidence Practice Pointers for publication in The Alabama Lawyer, which was a demonstration of her expertise in handling matters in that forum. She has continued a vigorous litigation practice in the fields of auto liability, bad faith defense, personal injury defense, and general insurance and construction law, trying over 180 cases in District, Circuit and Federal Courts throughout the State of Alabama with great success. Most recently, Megan conducted three jury trials of consequence in various parts of the state, resulting in two defense verdicts and a third verdict in an amount slightly less than the amount of the settlement offer her client had made in the case.
