Mr. Brittain began practicing law with the firm in 1980, and has been a shareholder with the firm since 1984. Mr. Brittain has over 30 years of experience successfully defending corporations, insurance companies and individuals in complex products liability, legal malpractice, and E&O/coverage litigation. Recent notable cases involving Mr. Britain include obtaining a defendant’s verdict in favor of his client in a wrongful death case in February 2015, obtaining a defendant’s verdict in favor of his client in a wrongful death case in February 2012, obtaining a summary judgment for his client in a premises liability case involving the drowning of a toddler in 2011, and receiving a defendant’s verdict in favor of his client in a wrongful death case relating to the drowning of a 65 year-old female in 2009.
Mr. Brittain is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, Alabama State Bar, and Alabama Defense Lawyer’s Association. Mr. Brittain and his wife, Chris, have two grown sons; the oldest son, Evans, having practiced law with this firm since 2000. He is the proud grandparent of three grandchildren.
