February 2006 - Defense Verdict in Personal Injury Case Against County Commission
Winston Sheehan successfully defended a County Commission in a personal injury lawsuit in which the Plaintiff sustained life-threatening injuries in a head-on collision. The Plaintiff alleged that the County Commission had negligently or wantonly failed to properly maintain a roadway creating a danger to the public. The Plaintiff's medical expenses were in excess of $168,000. A Board Certified Oral and Facial Surgeon also testified that the Plaintiff would need dental implants in the future, which would cost in the neighborhood of $5,000 to $6,000. On February 14, 2006, after a two-day trial, a jury returned a verdict on behalf of the Defendant County Commission.
