Attorney Profiles

Chris is a partner in the Montgomery office who practices in Ball Ball's litigation section, with an emphasis on defending complex personal injury claims, wrongful death claims, product liability claims, construction defect litigation, and medical malpractice claims.  Chris is no stranger to the courtroom as he has tried numerous jury trials to verdict, serving as lead counsel in the majority of those cases.  While in law school, Chris was a leading advocate and member of Cumberland School of Law's nationally recognized Trial Team and served as a Director of the Trial Advocacy Board.  Additionally, Chris served his class as President and received the Scholar of Merit Award.  Chris was selected as a member of the prestigious Order of the Barristers, a national honorary society recognizing individuals who have excelled in trial litigation.

Chris has also been recently selected by the Super Lawyers publication as a 2010 Alabama "Rising Star," a designation afforded to only 2.5% of all lawyers in the state of Alabama who are under the age of 40 years old.  Chris is admitted in all state and federal courts in Alabama and is very active in both the State Bar Association as well as the local Montgomery County Bar Association, serving on the Executive Committee for the former and on the Board of Directors for the latter.  Chris currently serves as Chairman of the Alabama State Bar Admissions Ceremony and is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyer's Association, Defense Research Institute, and American Bar Association.

Chris is also very active in his community, serving as President of the University of Alabama Alumni Association Greater Montgomery Chapter, and as board member of the YMCA Boys Work Committee, EMERGE Montgomery, and American Cancer Society Young Professionals.  Chris is married to the former Jackie Hahn of Mobile, Alabama, and they have one child, Caroline.  Chris and his family attend Christ Church XP in Montgomery.  When not practicing law Chris enjoys spending time with his family, golf, hunting, and deep-sea fishing.
